Kenneth Garschina is a founder and principal of Mason Capital Management, LLC. Mr. Garschina began his career at KS Capital in 1994, where he specialized in risk arbitrage, distressed securities, restructurings and other event driven investment disciplines; he ended his tenure as Managing Director, Risk Arbitrage. He is a published author in the field of Austrian Economic Theory. Mr. Garschina graduated from the College of the Holy Cross in 1993 with a degree in Economics.
Michael Martino is a founder and principal of Mason Capital Management, LLC. Mr. Martino began his investment career at Oppenheimer & Company in 1993, where he was responsible for risk arbitrage research; he ended his tenure at Oppenheimer in 1998 as Executive Director, Risk Arbitrage. From 1998 to 2000, Mike was a principal at Crescendo Partners, an activist hedge fund, where he served as a director of Spar Aerospace Limited, a publicly traded aerospace company. He began his business career at GE Capital Corporation in 1985, where he held positions in Information Systems and Business Analysis. Mr. Martino graduated from Fairfield University with a degree in Political Science and earned a Masters in Business Administration in Finance and International Business from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
Samuel Read is a partner of Mason Capital Management LLC. Mr. Read began his investment career at Houlihan Lokey within the Financial Restructuring Group. From 2014 to 2019, Sam worked at The Carlyle Group, where he focused on distressed and special situations investing. Sam graduated from the University of Virginia in 2013 with a degree in Commerce.
John Grizzetti joined Mason Capital in September of 2002. Prior to joining Mason, he was the Chief Financial Officer of the WPG – Farber, Present Funds and its spin off, Present Asset Management, from 2001 to 2002. From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Grizzetti was a Managing Director of International Fund Services. Prior to that, Mr. Grizzetti was Chief Financial Officer of Centurion Investment Group, a billion-dollar hedge fund, from 1995 to 2000. Mr. Grizzetti worked at the Certified Public Accounting firm, Richard A. Eisner & Company beginning in 1989 before he became the Controller at American Securities Corp, a multi-billion dollar private investment group in 1993. Mr. Grizzetti became a Certified Public Accountant in 1994. Mr. Grizzetti received a BS in Accounting from the University of Richmond in 1989.
